Understand and choose the filtration mechanism for your swimming pool
Posté leFiltration is the process that will allow you to ensure good water quality in your pond. First of all, you must separate the mechanical and biological aspects. The first consists of removing impurities such as leaves and insects from the water. This is called filtration.
This is all the more important because the more efficient it is, the less treatment products are "used." These are among the biological aspects used to disinfect the water from microbial pollution. Furthermore, suitable filtration must take into account the volume of the pool , as well as the dimensions of the filtration pump and the pool. Indeed, all of the pool water must pass through the filter media every 3 hours.
Although Desjoyaux Pool has its own patented system, generally speaking, two filtration techniques coexist: by pipes or with a compact filtration unit.
As a reminder, filtration must allow:
• avoid dead zones (unmixed water areas)
• to evacuate pollution
• Ensure uniform distribution of the disinfectant
The pipeline system
A so-called traditional swimming pool is a swimming pool whose design involves numerous pipes. The water is drawn from the pool through a bottom drain (suction from the bottom of the pool) and skimmers (suction from the surface of the pool) to reach the filter through pipes buried under the pool (the filter is generally located in a technical room not adjacent to the pool ). The filtered water is then returned to the pool.
This involves significant buried pipes between the swimming pool and the technical room.
General principle of the Desjoyaux compact filtration unit
Installed around the perimeter of the pool, the filtration unit consists of two elements. A submerged face integrating the projector and all the filtering elements, and a rear face embedded in the deck serving as a technical room.
The filtration is carried out using a filter media with a filtration fineness ranging from 6 to 30 microns. The water is drawn in by the skimmer, filtered through the active membrane and expelled into the pool through the return jets. With the gyration principle thus reconstituted, the membrane housed in the so-called suction bowl filters the entire volume of water. Finally, the treatment products used to guarantee water hygiene are placed in the filtration basket located above the active membrane.
This system developed by Piscines Desjoyaux and patented in 1983 offers its customers efficient, ecological and economical filtration.
It eliminates all the disadvantages of the pipe filtration system: no more technical room, no drain, no backwash, no more pressure losses and above all zero risk of pipe leaks.
Desjoyaux filtration is available in 2 ranges:
• Rider group, which, as its name suggests, is placed as a rider on the wall of the pool
• Filter panel: integrated directly into the pool wall to preserve the aesthetics without breaking the line of your pool. Nothing protrudes from the edges and its 2 covers which cover the filter and technical room integrate perfectly into your beach.
Whatever the range chosen (Filter Panel or rider) all DESJOYAUX filtration systems can receive different options: heating, automatic treatment, counter-current swimming.
