How do I clean my pool?
Posté leCleaning your swimming pool is a very important operation that should not be neglected since it affects the quality of your water and also of your installations.

Why clean your swimming pool?
It is important to clean the pool, your filtration unit, pre-filter basket and filter media (filter bag or JD Master Filt type cartridge) weekly.
The goal of cleaning your pool is to be able to enjoy clear water and its quality as much as desired. It also helps to take care of the "structure" of the pool and thus preserve it for longer.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to empty your pool to clean it. However, it is necessary to clean your pool after winter, although this can be done more quickly with a pool shelter , a tarpaulin or a pool cover . In fact, the pool and especially the liner are the first to be cleaned.
It is important to understand that chemical pool maintenance does not replace mechanical maintenance. Filtration, chemical maintenance and mechanical maintenance (cleaning) are complementary actions that do not replace each other.
First of all, it is essential to check the cleanliness of the pre-filter basket and the filter media and clean them if necessary.
What should you clean to have a clean pool?
All the elements that make up your swimming pool must be clean in order to get the most out of your swimming:
● Walls
● Background
● Liner / Coating
● Copings
● Shelter / Tarpaulin / Cover
● Filter
● Pump
Properly cleaning your swimming pool: essential accessories
Cleaning your swimming pool will begin with a net to collect large debris floating on the surface of the water (leaves, insects , etc.) which can, over time, decompose and leave indelible marks on the liner.
The bottom and walls of the pool must then be thoroughly cleaned, either using a fully autonomous hydraulic or electric robot or using a vacuum cleaner, which requires human intervention.
The vacuum cleaner works with your filtration unit. First, position the vacuum head at the bottom of the pool and prime the vacuum hose by filling it with water using the unit's discharge. Depending on the power of your filtration pump, position the skim vac so that the suction is concentrated on the central hole through which the vacuum hose will be connected. Then, methodically sweep the vacuum across the entire surface of the pool.
A complete pool cleaning necessarily involves cleaning the waterline, since pool pollution not removed by filtration will be concentrated in this waterline. It is advisable to use accessories and products specially tested for the pool and not aggressive for the liner.
