Interview: The stages of buying a swimming pool: from idea to completion
Interview: The stages of buying a swimming pool: from idea to completion
Posté leBuilding a swimming pool for your home is a major project that requires careful planning. Piscines Desjoyaux stores support their customers from their initial inspiration to the pool's water supply, advising them on its maintenance and use.

Meet David Gaillard, Director of a Desjoyaux store, who explains that the purchasing pattern for a swimming pool is often the same for his customers.
I am inspired
When prospective customers contact the store to consider their project, they often have an idea of the pool they want in terms of size and shape and have already done some research. Some spontaneously go to our website because of the brand's reputation.
Others browsed the web and eventually visited our inspirations site, which appears on the first pages of searches thanks to the SEO work carried out by Desjoyaux headquarters.
All roads lead to Desjoyaux! The brand's strengths are its French manufacturing and close proximity, with 190 Desjoyaux stores across France.
I make an appointment
The first contact with the store is usually made by telephone or through a contact form via the website.
Some people come directly to the store to make contact. This also allows them to discover the store, the products, as well as the display pools and the various peripheral equipment (shelters, roller shutters, etc.) that we sell.
I am building my project with my Desjoyaux project manager
The next step is the on-site meeting which allows the project to be built taking into account both the client's wishes and the technical expertise of a professional: the project manager.
We take into account the wishes of these clients and the various environmental and technical constraints to propose an optimized project. A complete study of the project is then sent to the client. This file includes all the points discussed during the on-site meeting: supplies of the various components of the pool such as the structure, the stairs, the liner, the filtration, the filtration pump, the coping stones and the various options selected as well as the cost of installing the pool.
I sign my contract
The client's acceptance of the project study (quote) results in a purchase order for the supply and installation of a swimming pool. This document details in detail:
– Supply of the swimming pool and additional equipment,
– Technical assistance and site monitoring for the installation of the swimming pool,
– Installation services.
The purchase order validates the mutual commitments of the two parties.
I am attending my implantation appointment
The second on-site meeting is the layout meeting. It allows the client, the project manager, and the various stakeholders to determine the layout of the future pool. A layout report, indicating the precise positioning dimensions of the pool and the reference zero level, is drawn up and signed.
My project manager is preparing my declaration
The project manager manages the administrative formalities related to the construction of the swimming pool for his client:
– The prior declaration of works or the building permit (depending on the dimensions of the swimming pool) that the client will submit to the Town Hall,
– The declaration of commencement of work (DICT) which must be filed at the town hall or sent from the official administration website using form Cerfa 14434-03.
My swimming pool is built
Here again, we are the project managers. We manage the monitoring of the pool construction and coordinate the teams according to a completion schedule.
The construction of the swimming pool in accordance with specifications is done in 6 key stages:
– Tracing and earthworks,
– Installation of structures and filtration,
– Pouring of DESJOYAUX swimming pools
– Backfilling,
– Installation of the edges,
– Installation of the liner and electrical connection.
My swimming pool is filled with water
The long-awaited moment finally arrives: filling the pool with water. We'll start up the filtration system and explain how to use and maintain your Desjoyaux pool.
The acceptance report is then signed by 2 parties and also marks the start of the 10-year Desjoyaux guarantee.
I get my guarantee and I dive in!
Your pool is finished and your Desjoyaux store guarantees you constant local service.
