What is a natural swimming pool?

The official designation for a natural or biological swimming pool is “artificial swimming”.

It is a pool that works on the principle of lagooning and does not use any chemical substances for water treatment. Microorganisms, algae and aquatic plants will sanitize and filter the water. – The ecosystem of the lagoon area (since it is really a real eco-system) must be carefully selected.

– An artificial swimming pool cannot be heated at the risk of disrupting or even weakening the ecosystem necessary for its functioning.
